The CULTURAL SECTOR IS in complete UPHEAVAL. NEW SOCIOCULTURAL BEHAVIOURS andNEW TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCES  and also RECENT HEALTH RESTRICTIONS ARE FORCING MUSEUMS and  CULTURAL INSTITUTIONS to TRANSFORM their
ACTIVITIES, CHALLENGING THEM to UNLEARN and REBUILD Through NEW SYSTEMS and NEW MEDIUMS.

VIBE IS an EXPERIMENTAL PLATFORM for CULTURAL CONTENT, COMMUNITY EXCHANGE and HYBRID EXPERIENCES that has EXPLORED NEW WAYS of CONSUMING CULTURE.

A project co-funded by the Creative Innovation Lab programme of the European Union, VIBE has generated an ecosystem of museum representatives, audio-visual and cultural mediation industry experts, as well as young creatives and young audiences. Main outputs have been the scouting of the challenges and opportunities of the cultural sector through co-creation sessions and an analysis of the state of the art, and the generation of innovative exhibition guidelines that have resulted in a pilot exhibition, Active Activism Act (AAA).

AAA was the pilot exhibition of the VIBE project. It was exhibited physically in Barcelona and experienced digitally worldwide, establishing the proof of concept of innovation in cultural experiences, where culture and audio-visual are bridged through digital technologies.
The agents working in the VIBE Project, helping in this transformational change of the cultural institutions are: Elisava Research, as main conceiver and coordinator of the project, and introducing new methodologies in curatorial and exhibition development processes, MAGMA France in mediation events, Nemorin UK in developing purposeful audio-visual productions, and by-wire, introducing wearable technology to enhance the visiting experience.

VIBE THINK TANK
VIBE has resulted in a Cultural Think Tank that tackles current and near future challenges for museums and cultural institutions. VIBE report
This downloadable VIBE Report, result of this 2-year project, gathers both the theoretical framework for understanding The Future of Curated Cultural Consumption and Experience, as well as the innovation insights for cultural institutions and museums which were applied in the Pilot exhibition experience, namely the Active Activism Act exhibition.
AAA EXHIBITION
Active Activism Act is an exhibition, a visibility environment for new digital and activism formats and a multiplatform experience to compile and give space to participation and reflection.
AAA Exhibition
Active Activism Act (AAA) was the pilot exhibition of the VIBE project, the proof of concept of innovation in cultural experiences, where culture and audio-visual are bridged through digital technologies. This successful exhibition, showcased physically in Barcelona, and experienced digitally worldwide, is the proof of concept of key innovations that can be transferred to cultural institutions and museums, namely: a novel curatorial process, a digital-first business model, an integration of different exhibition production sectors, and new narratives through algorithms.
